Cermac
Cermac - Italian Producers of Technologies and Products for Agriculture, Agroindustry and Zootechnics - is an internationalisation consortium based in Bologna that brings together companies that produce machinery, equipment, technologies, components and accessories for the agricultural sector, in particular for fruit and vegetables in both the pre- and post-harvest phases.
Our story
Cermac was founded in 1980 with the primary objective of helping its member companies linked to the world of agriculture to achieve international recognition. Cermac's mission has always been to promote its member companies on international markets and to identify development opportunities to encourage the internationalisation of its member companies
Over the years, the Consortium's activities have evolved in line with the changes in the markets and in the legislation in our territory regarding incentives for internationalisation: in addition to regular and constant participation in the most important trade fairs for the sector on the European market (Eima, Agrilevante, Fieragricola, Agritechnica, Macfrut, Fruit Logistica), Cermac soon began to pay attention to non-European, emerging and developing markets.
Since 2000
Since 2000, initiatives have been launched in a number of countries, particularly in South and Central America, the CIS and India. In these areas, in addition to traditional trade fair participation, more sophisticated and targeted projects have been launched, starting with in-depth market studies, the creation of databases and even the setting up of actual test grounds (e.g. in South America and India). The organisation of B2B events abroad, the reception of delegations of foreign operators and, last but not least, the participation - often as speakers - in sector conferences on fruit and vegetables complete the range of initiatives offered by the Consortium.
Since 2010
Particularly since 2010, Cermac has focused on emerging markets such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Peru, and is now operating in newly accessible markets such as Iran. Over the years, Cermac's consortium strategy has proven to be successful and has helped its member companies to gain valuable experience abroad in all international markets by implementing common internationalisation paths and promoting synergies and exchanges between its member companies.
